TEACHER BIOGRAPHIES
Karen Riccardi – Director and Lead
Primary Teacher

Karen founded The Natick Montessori School in 2000. She graduated from
Syracuse University with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Design.
Karen received her American Montessori Society teacher credential after
completing her training through the Center For Montessori Teacher
Education in White Plains, NY and has been teaching in a Montessori
classroom since 1993. Karen has three children, a newborn and two that
will be at The Natick Montessori School this fall, one in Kindergarten
and one in the Toddler Program!
Lynn Shevory –
Director and Lead Primary
Teacher
Lynn Shevory is one of our Primary Lead Teachers and
works
on the administrative team as a Director. She joined the Natick
Montessori School in 2001 after creating and working in the Pre-1
classroom at the Eliot Montessori School, also in Natick. She was
granted her American Montessori Society teaching credentials for
children ages three to six through the New England
Montessori Teacher Education Center and has been working in Montessori
Schools since 1994. Lynn’s passion of teaching in the classroom is
equaled to sharing her knowledge with parents so that children have
incredible learning experiences at home as well as at school.
Sarah Sundstrom – Lead Primary Teacher

Sarah has been a member of the Natick Montessori School staff since 2001.
She received her Bachelors Degree in psychology from Quinnipiac University
in Hamden, CT. She completed her Montessori training through the
Northeast Montessori Institute in Rockport, ME and has received her
American Montessori Society credential. Sarah also completed her Masters
Degree in early childhood education through Endicott College in Beverly,
MA. In her spare time Sarah enjoys taking pictures, scrap booking, and
spending time with her friends and family.
Jennifer Bradley –
Lead Primary Teacher
Jennifer received
her BA from Boston College. She finished her Montessori training
this summer through the Montessori Centre International in London.
Jennifer has traveled to many countries and had the opportunity to teach
in a Montessori School in Dublin, Ireland. Jennifer and her family
reside in Sherborn where her son attends second grade at The Pine Hill
School.
Alycia
Tarnoff - Lead Primary Teacher
Alycia received her Bachelor of Science
Degree from Suffolk University in Franklin, Massachusetts. She has
finished her American Montessori Society Teacher’s training through The
New England Teachers Education Center in Newton, Massachusetts and
completed her practicum year at the Walnut Park Montessori School in
Newton Massachusetts. Alycia has volunteered in both Homeless shelters
and Nursing Homes and has many years experience of providing care to
young children in their homes.
Lene Castro – Toddler Teacher Intern
Lene is originally from Brazil and is tri-lingual. Portuguese is her
first language and she is also fluent in English and Spanish. For over
five years, Lene has been a nanny for children ages 10 months – three
years old. A mother herself, Lene has a seven-year-old child. She is
planning to pursue her teaching career as a Montessori teacher here at The
Natick Montessori School.
Jamielynn Newman
- Primary
Teacher Intern
Jamielynn has been an early education
provider for 6 years. She has her preschool teacher’s certificate from
the Office of Child Care Services and has an extensive background
working with physically and developmentally challenged young people and
adults. She received her bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies
through Cambridge College and is certified in both CPR and First Aid.
Jamielynn is an active volunteer in Children First Natick, a Community
Partnership Program providing educational opportunities to children and
families throughout Natick.
