FACULTY

Our diverse staff has many years of teaching experience and they are masters in their field. The Lead Teachers of each class have been trained through accredited programs and granted American Montessori Society (AMS) or Association of Montessori Internationale (AMI) teaching certificates.

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The NMS Board of Directors consists of nine members who are elected for a one year term by the members of the current board. In addition, the School Co-Directors are also voting Board members for the length of their respective tenures and the Co-Parent’s Association Chairs report to the NMS Board at the regular meetings.

The primary responsibilities of the NMS Board include safeguarding the financial stability of the school, ensuring that policies and operations adhere to the mission of the school, and evaluating the performance of the Co-Directors.

The bylaws of NMS determine the terms of office and basic qualifications for Board membership.

The Board meets on the second Wednesday every other month during the school year in the evening.
